Martin joined the club at the start of 2007 and stepped in as Secretary when Peter Aizlewood resigned due to moving to Derbyshire. Martin, who this year became a walks leader, recently did the Yorkshire Three Peaks and is keen to organise some longer walks for the club.

Adam found us on the website and has now been walking with us for a couple of years. He is an experienced walker and feels that branching out into leadership was the right thing to do. Adam has led many walks and has some interesting walks for the 2009 calendar.
Adam also doubles as a committee member.

Keith and Elaine are both long time members and prolific leaders of Sunday walks and also weekends away.
Laid back style but with meticulous planning their walks are ever popular and lots of fun.

A new, and experienced, Wednesday leader for us this year with a refreshing approach and wide variety of new walks, all of which have been well received and attended. She has many more on offer.

Rosemary has been leading for a few years now, steadily growing in confidence, able and ever ready to step into the breach should the need arise she always has a good following and a different walk. She is also a committee member.

Derek is a relative newcomer but has already left an indelible mark by instigating the ever-growing Wednesday walks.
Affectionately known as Moses he leads many of them personally covering much of the northwest and knows most of the good teashops.

Peter is a former Hon. Sec. now relocated to Ashford in the Water Derbyshire where he continues to lead us in that area and joins us on our forays abroad. Carries salt and pepper pots to spice up his lunch.

Jeanette with a good knowledge of the Yorkshire Dales is in her element on the more challenging walks. She enjoys the weekends away and has her own planned in September 2008.

Tom led a walk last year and agreed to lead several in 2009 around the Ribble Valley, drawing on his extensive knowledge of the area. Patient and laid back he will prove to be a popular leader especially as he likes tea shops.

Arrived with both feet bringing several new walks, some in league with Rosemary, that look exiting.
A weekend away at the end of August 2009 is also planned.

Another one who had a taste of leadership last year, Jean has embraced the concept and produced about fourteen walks, all over the northwest, for 2009 showing the depth of the reservoir of walks amongst our regular members.

Roy stepped up and lead a few walks in 2009 and has quite a few walks planned for the 2010 schedule. Always cool as a cucuber, Roy an ex-greengrocer often comes laden with fresh fruit for our delight..
